Young Candidates?

Right lads, what do you think of all these young candidates emerging for the next general election? I came across a young girl in Tipperary Caroline Hofman, 21 years old apparently. Surely shes the youngest declared candidate so far?

My constituency is Wexford and so far only Johnny Mythen and Shane Dunphy are certainties to run. Is there a place for young people to run, or is that girl above just kidding herself?

Personally I think it's good for young people to get into politics, they are more in tune with the younger generation and could breath a breath of fresh air into politics. The downside of course is lack of experience (life and professional).

young people could consider trying for the council first to get experience dealing with people and beauracy ( despite not being able to tackle natonal issues so much)
