Road Bike with a 1600E Budget

I know similar threads have been started before but probably no harm to refresh it. I'm looking for some advice on the best road bike I can buy in a shop (to avail of Bike to Work Scheme) for less than 1600. Looking for a carbon frame and probably a 105 Shimano Groupset at this budget. Open to most makes Cube, Scott, Giant, Trek, Specialized, Cervelo etc.

    Thanks

You don't need to buy in a shop to avail of the bike to work scheme.

Not in a shop, but excellent value and within budget(before packing and delivery)

That depends on your company. My company forces us to use a poxy voucher scheme that limits it to bricks and morter shops.

OP, anything you've your heart set on? Disc brakes, carbon frame etc. . ?

I'm looking at similar bikes. The best value at this price point has to go to the Cube Agree GTC Race. Carbon frame, full ultegra groupset and Magic wheels...

I'm personally also drawn to the Giant TCR Advanced 1 but I am afraid that the giant would be too stiff and unconfortable on longer sportives!?!?

to echo what brian mentioned above, your company is well within its rights to specify a single shop they will deal with for the btw scheme.
the crowd i work will only allow you buy in a physical shop.

Sure, but that doesn't make my statement any less true. :)

Until we hear from the OP that is yet to be determined, no?

Thanks for all the replys, with regards to my required, I'd be looking for a carbon frame and as good a groupset as I could get.
I like the look of the Canyons/Rose/Ribble all seem great value for money.
Currently waiting to hear back from HR on my companies specifics, but if I was limited to bricks and mortar the Cube Agree GTC Race, seems like a great bike.
Has anyone else any opinions on this bike or any suggestions of a good Cube stockist in Cork/Kerry/Limerick?

It's hard to see past cube for value. Don't discount Planet X though.

It's nothing to do with supporting local business in case that's what you think. The voucher schemes skim money off the top, I believe 10%.

If a company simply allowed you to purchase a bike and produce an invoice, like many do, this 10% would either go to the LBS or get the buyer an extra 10% in value.

Ended up getting a full carbon Cube Agree GTC Race for 1350 with Ultigra Groupset. I got it so cheap as I'm 6' 3"and needed a 62" frame and luckily enough the shop I went to had one in stock which was ordered in the wrong size and the factory wouldn't take it back so the shop were happy to sell it cheap, to free up some space on the floor as they don't usually stock such large sizes.
    Absolutely delighted with it
