A Question for all the know it alls out there

traction control light came on a while ago . nothing to do with the button i assure you.

seems to be a fault in he cpu common to the brand.

Mine is a seat leon but ive heard the same from audi skoda and vw . all with some of the same internals.

a wee bit of research tells me that the problem isnt in the traction contron but in the cpu. im old theres a fix kit but thats as much as i ve been abe to find out ,

so the quesion is ..... any one know if such a kit exists and if so what kind of price range

    Which model Leon?

Traction control light usually means there is a fault in the system, it could be throttle, traction,ABS related only way to know is scan the car.

A brake pad wear sensor fault won't cause the traction control light to come on.

The most common reason on a Leon of that year with that engine would be a faulty brake pressure sensor inside the ABS unit. Budget around €450 all in to have it sorted out.
