guinness series Ireland v Scotland - rugby advice

hi there, very quick question. getting my boyfriend a ticket to this match in august. Do you reckon it would have a good atmosphere and be a good game? As in do you think it will be worth it? not much on rugby myself but its his birthday! we were talking about the barbarbians and ireland match a few weeks back and we were thinkin of going but then i heard that this Guinness series is just basically a warm up for the world cup. he's not a massive rugby fan but goes mad for the world cups and six nations, not much else tho.
also, seating advice !! looking at seats in block 121, its way down the front, but most of the middle blocks are all gone (would like to be a long side the pitch rather than by the goals), and in the 500 blocks is it very high up ? dont care about heights, its just having a good view really is all i want. thanks a million!

I prefer upper tier personally. 10 or so rows up in the upper tier on the halfway line are the best seats IMO.

It's unlikely to be a good game given it's about match fitness and not necessarily winning at all costs but the tickets are priced with that in mind.

oh no really? i spose just a good atmosphere would be the main thing to enjoy it. i think the tickets are pretty expensive! im looking at 40-50 euro ones, but dont want to spend like 100 euro (2 tickets) if its not going to be a good game really :(

Although it won't be an international match, I would hold out on getting tickets till the Leinster European game in the Aviva. Chances are you will have a much better atmosphere.

The Autumn games generally aren't too bad but as these are just warm up games as oppose to proper tests they are going to be very hit and miss and as a result the atmosphere mightn't be there

I suppose my point was they are cheaper than what a Six Nations game vs Scotland would probably cost.

I'm with JSB. Maybe a Leinster match would be better.
