    Hi,

I am currently in the market for a second hand car 2012/3 year, I've been told my current car Fiat Punto 43Km with get me 2.5k on a trade in. Can i expect any further discount on a car listed between 15/17K or is the trade in value the most i can expect off the listed price?

When you have a trade-in then you need to focus on the cost to change up price rather than trade-in price. This is because dealers can make trade-in prices look very attractive when in fact all they are doing is add the discount from the newer car to it's value or raising the price of the car your buying.

To know if your getting a good deal you need to find a similar car being sold by another garage and see how much they want from you to trade up.
