Brand New Dell Inspiron 15 7000 - Series (7548) Touchpad not working

    Hi,

Just bought a Dell Inspiron 15 7000 - Series (7548). Arrived yesterday, took it out of the box and turned it on and the cursor wasn't visible on the screen. Also the left and right buttons on the touchpad didn't work.

Turns out the driver for the touchpad hadn't installed due to a windows error (code 10) so it couldn't communicate with the hardware. Had the Dell technicians looking at it all day yesterday but they were unable to resolve the issue.

Now going through the cr*p of trying to get another new laptop rather than a replacement touchpad. Very frustrating as I had been looking forward to this for months. I have to say the support team have been very good but its annoying when you buy a product out of the box and its not working, what kind of product testing are they doing!!!

Just thought this might be useful if people are currently shopping around for laptops.

    Thanks
