Selling at auction in summer

Thinking of selling a few bits of furniture that I'd probably expect to get €200 - €300 each.

I have a vague recollection of someone telling me there is no point is selling furniture etc at small auctions eg Mullens etc in summer time as the auctions are very quiet.

    Anyone know is this correct?

Summer is thought of traditionally as a poor time to sell.
However that's not the case now , with the online presence etc.

I dont think it makes a major difference these days , although you would have a better chance getting a good price for say your garden furniture in the summer.
