Question about period of notice to attend bankruptcy hearing

    Hi all,
Unfortunately a close friend has found themselves needing to apply for bankruptcy. They were told today that the date for the official adjudication could be Monday coming. I was a bit taken aback by the lack of notice for the date. Does anyone know if this is the norm? My friend, despite knowing that this was coming, is now really anxious and will have to cancel work commitments to attend. Could she ask for a later date and how would she go about doing this. Her PIP is not very helpful to her on this point.

    Thanks

I'd be interested to know more about this myself but unfortunately this is a request for legal advice, which is not allowed on this forum.
