    Hi guys

I am thinking of buying a ticket from another person online who cannot go.

It is in their name, its an e-ticket. It is for the Taylor Swift gig.

Will there be issues at the door getting in? Bear in mind this person is female, and I am male, so names are clearly different.

There will be no name issues getting in. What you have to watch out for is scammers. The "ticketfast" tickets are emails from ticketmaster, and the problem is someone can print it ten times. You wont know until it gets scanned at the door and comes up used.

You need to be sure where its coming from, who you are buying it from and be satisfied they are genuine.

Where are you buying it from? Donedeal? Adverts? Gumtree?

    Perfect.

Adverts, the person has 7 positive feedbacks.

He seems genuine, its his sisters ticket.

Check the T&C of the ticket if you can. Some of them require the purchasing credit card to be produced.

I'll ask him to send them over.

also, with regards to the 3Arena, what does GA3 stand for, is it decent enough for a standing area?

GA3 stands for general admission - standing. Ignore it, its one big standing area.

In all the concerts I have been to, I have never been asked for corresponding credit card.

I'm sure it is, and I bet she's a married lady so that will be the ready-made excuse why the surname on the ticket will be different from the seller's surname.

Bear in mind what you said in your original post ...

No you're not, you're buying it from someone else and that allows that person to kick to touch when you ask awkward questions, like 'can I see the confirmation e-mail', or 'can I see your credit card bill with the Ticketmaster entry for this ticket?'

When someone advertises online and then informs you that they are selling for someone else, you should run a mile.

It depends. I sold a ticket in my sisters name a few months ago. Granted I am an upstanding member of society.

The printable tickets are defo a riskier buy than actual tickets though.

Usually if its a general admission ticket then they don't, if its for a VIP Area or seated area they do.

Not a Consumer Issue as it is a private sale. Moving to Online Buying & Auctions
