NCT Brake Line

Hi,

I hope someone can help. My car failed NCT because one of the brake lines needs to be replaced.

Does anyone know where I can pick up a brake line for a Hyundai atoz?

Rubber flexible brake hose going to the wheels or the rigid steel pipe under the body?
I would expect a Hyundai dealer or decent motor factors should be able to sell the hose. If it's the steel pipe then a garage should be able to make up a section to suit if needs be.

Thanks Slim, the motor factors told me I need to take the rigid (copper) pipe out, so they can see it, measure it, and cut one to size.. Problem being if I take it out I have no car to drive. I will try a Hyundai dealer. One of my neighbours can put it in very cheaply if I could only pick up the brake line (pipe)

Ring some local mechs. They can fix it while you wait. It's not a very big job but could take an hour or so.

If he has his own flare kit (which is likely) to make the proper joints on the spot then you won't need a motor factors to make up the line.

obvious point....should you be driving it before you get it fixed?
