Hi folks, I'm getting a new bike on the bike to work scheme and have narrowed it down to the Trek 1.2 and Giant Defy 2 (both 2015) but am having real problems separating the two. Does anyone have either of them and have anything to say about them? Part of me thinks that the Giant is better value but I've been told that Trek is better put together.

There aren't huge differences. Go with the one you prefer the look of.

Yeah, I mean shallow as it seems, the look of the Trek 1.2 is swinging it for me right now.

I've the Trek 1.5 I'd I'm quite happy with it after putting 2000+ kms on it. The 10 speed cassette is the only major difference between it and the 1.2
