Still waiting on my welcome pack/Application forms

I am living in a house in Carlow and never got any forms from Irish Water to fill in and return.

I had issues with a meter leaking before ladt christmas and was trying for several months to get Irish Water to take away the rubbish they created when digging up and fixing the leak. This was eventually sorted when I reported the issue to the litter warden and informed Irish Water of this.

Now I have since received a bill addressed to "the occupier" for an unmetered amount which I clearly am unable to pay as it is not my bill and is certainly not correct!

I contacted Irish water who took my details and told me they would send me out the forms so that I can get a proper bill but I had to contact them again a few weeks later as no forms arrived!

They again assured me that the forms were on the way but to date I have had no other post from Irish Water!

At this stage I have dome enough and if the incompetent company want to get money from me they will have to sing like a choir! I have jumped through all the required hoops yet they can't be bothered to post out the proper forms to allow me to register and pat my bill.

Good Luck getting me to pay it now!

    There you go!

    http://www.water.ie/docs/Application-Form_.pdf

Don't need a pin or application pack for that one.

Does that PDF come with a printer:D

Thanks but I will wait for Irish Water to do the job they are all getting well paid for! I have done enough to get this sorted out, it is their turn now.

Count yourself lucky.  I got three bills.  One of which was for the wrong amount and one was in Irish.  Two of the bills came after I had paid the first one.

I'm in the same situation, I'm not gonna beg for them to take my money.. if they can't even send out their packs and bills right, how do I know that by paying the bill the money will actually go to my account and not someone else's? This company obviously has no idea what their doing

I have two bills in front of me they are both incorrect.  Despite by best efforts, they still can't transcribe the information from the original application form and subsequent letters.

When is the money (including lost growth) Michael Noonan took in the Pension Levy going to be paid back?

Thanks but No thanks, I have given my details a number of times already and nothing was done so I have had enough of this and will be helpful no more!

I also feel that any communication should be in writing or at least via email for those who wish to allow ye numerous chances to do the job as clearly there is no accountability from giving a contact number and getting phone calls asking for the same information you have provided numerous times before from some anonymous call centre number.

You ask on here for help.
The IW rep asks you for your details so they can provide the help.
You then turn them down moaning about a request in writing (I assume you mean on paper) or by email. Can you please tell us how they can contact you either on paper or by email, if you fail to tell them who you are?

They have all my details on file in relation to this issue of a bill arriving addressed to the occupier but not a metered bill and for two people instead of only one.

They have all my details given to them several times from a previous issue where they fixed their meter but failed to clean up the rubbish they left behind and it took several months to get them to send someone out to sort that one.

What more can I be expected to do for these people?

I'm not here to object to water meters or charges because the money just won't fall from the sky for it. I will pay my bill when they send it out to me! But don't expect me to do work that four thousand of them are overpaid for doing.

If they screw up that simple task then they can sing for the money!

Let me get this straight then:
    * you have not mentioned that you have registered with IW, just that you asked for application packs.
    * the packs never arrived
    * meanwhile there were issues in terms of the meter outside your premises which were eventually resolved.
    * as you had not registered with IW (you could have done it online or even over the phone when you were talking to them!), the bill was sent to "the occupier"
    * you are still looking for the registration forms
    * you won't tell them who you are and at this point won't register

    so...
    * if they don't know who you are (from this thread) they cannot send out the forms
    * if you don't register, then you will pay the flat rate charge for a property
    * if you don't register, then you cannot get the €100 from the DSP

Have I missed anything based on the information you provided?

I can't register as I have not received the registration pack that every household was supposed to get. I contacted IW and was told one would be sent out, nothing happened, so again and again I contacted them and am still waiting for them to send out a registration pack.

Last year I reported that the meter installed by the builder here was leaking, several weeks later after a follow up call to the county council action and the work started, took two days and the council IW staff went off never to return! But they left behind them 4 large traffic cones and an internal house door which they had used to cover over the meter until the concrete was dry.

Several months passed with many calls and other contact with council and IW yet it was only a call to the litter warden that got action taken and IW eventually did the job.

I will register online but am prevented from doing this because they will not send me the required code/registration number that is in the registration pack that they won't send me despite numerous requests. I don't wish to give any details to this company by phone as I don't trust them.

    You don't need the pack.
I and many others were able to register over the phone.

Am I obliged to register by phone? the option is there but i prefer to put such important things in writing

You are not obliged to even register never mind doing it using one of the various methods.

However, if you "prefer" to do it in writing then so be it. Someone earlier linked to the form that you can print off given that the postal mice ate your previous ones. Then fill it in and send it off.

You can also apply online ;http://www.water.ie/register/ which is kind of like in writing but within a keyboard and no stamp!
