What connectors can I use for this stuff? Its Mains water supply to Tank in a 1970's house.

I seem to think this stuff was called Hydrodare; basically I need to reroute this pipe, but I will need to create a joint. Its pretty flexible but still has to be run through timber joists.

Has IS134:1965 marking in Red on it, seems to indicate Polyethelene pipe

If the markings are red, then it's normal gauge. Most plumbing or hardware shops will have a variety of joiners for that. Make sure not to put the joiner in an inaccessible place, even if that means buying extra piping.
