    I got a referral from my GP last month (which managed to not get sent) to Immunology in James's Hosp. The next available appointment isn't till Feb/March 2016 and well I can't keep going on like I am with my monthly sinus infections!

    I'm going to go private, my query is can my GP referral be moved to James Private? And does anyone know the pricing involved?

    I also seen a mention of a Dr. Paul Carson on boards from back in a 2008 thread, he does Allergy and Sinusitis which would be both things I may need. Any recommendations for him? Quick enough to get an appointment?

    I know nothing about whether or not he's a good allergy doctor (and even if I did, we're not allowed say so here), but he's an absolutely 5hite novelist!

    It can. Call the public secretary and inform them that you wish to be seen privately. They'll send on the letter for you.

    There can sometimes be a small delay with this (should be no more than a few days though).

    For price, just phone the private secretary and ask. You'll also be able to let them know that you have a referral letter incoming.

    All sorted, going to James Private. Same doctor does the public and the private, been told I could have an appointment in 2 weeks possibly...... Just sounds the state of affairs, 9 month waiting list for public while private which is only done 2 days a month has a waiting list no longer than a nose hair! Definitely worth the couple of hundred quid.
