Listening to Rick Dees and Howard Stern in Ireland

Im a big fan of both but am finding it tricky to get my fix of either. Even if I change my IP to an American one the links on Rick's website wont work. From what I understand Rick isnt on any one station these days and his shows are syndicated nationwide, but you can listen via his website.

Id love to hear the Weekly Top 40 and see how it is these days compared to the very high standards it set in the 80s. Are there any fans on here and how do you listen in?

    Do either do Podcasts?

I heard Rick Dees on the radio on Saturday (I think) being interviewed by Martin King. Despite that fact, it was a great interview!

    TuneIn radio app?

I listen to BBC 6 Music through it without having to use a proxy.

All of Howard Stern shows are posted on youtube within a few hours of it being live.

I listen to a lot of spermless sterile stupid stern on youTube. Use a conversion site like vid2mp3 and you can store it on your phone (like pieces of vinyl boff).

Then you uhhh ... you I dunno get... I mean you can mmm i mean ... I guess like get a mini FM transmitter and I dunno play it in your car or something i guess.

As far as I am aware, none of the streams available on Rick's site (rick.com) are geo blocked meaning that you should be able to access all of the weekly top 40 links provided without needing a US IP address.

    There are five streams available:
Rick Dees Weekly Top 40 (CHR)
Rick Dees Weekly Top 40 (Hot AC)
Rick Dees Weekly Top 40 (80's edition)
Rick Dees Weekly Top 40 (90's edition)
    Daily Dees

Four are updated weekly and one (Daily Dees) is updated daily

I hope that this addresses some of your questions. I hope that I am not misinterpreting anything but I cannot understand how you are unable to access any of those streams.

Hi. Many thanks for that. I was trying to play them on an iPad previously which can be hit and miss with certain media players and plugins. It is playing for me fine on the PC. Cheers :)

As an aside, I see Rick was in Dublin recently. Hopefully he took in some Irish radio while he was here.
