    Hi
I've purchased a hkc 1070 panel to install in my home. I purchased a second keypad with this. The second keypad I received is the older secure watch model.

Is this compatible with the newer 1070 panel?

And if so can anybody tell what the terminal numbers are associated to?......the older keypad has terminals numbered 1 to 4. The newer keypad and panel has A B 0v 12v

    Cheers

They are not compatible, the older keypad is probably from an 8/12 , the 10/70 is a different animal bit from the same stable

Electrical wholesalers koolkid. They wouldn't specialise in alarms. Didn't cop it till I went to stick it on.

They still should know the products they are selling. Suppose they sold you a 12 volt bulb & told you it will work on mains??

The 0V and 12V are the power and the keypad, the other two are for communications.
You did well getting one as they are obsolete now..
