I need some hard caramels for a recipe i want to make. All i can find though are either coated ones or the likes of cho eclairs that have a filling. Anyone know where i can get plain caramels?

M&S used to have them. Worth a look anyway if you're near one.

Thanks for the suggestion, no m&s nearby unfortunately.

Would toffees work? I use these tesco ones for a rice crispie square recipe I make on occasion and they're the same-ish, slightly harder texture (if not nearly as nice) as salt caramels I sometimes buy myself from a French delicatessan at lunch

Werther's Originals? They're hard caramels are they not?
