Subsidence Query

Recently I bought a house that was piled. The house is 5 years old. No piles were provided to the driveway, just terram and hardcore to firm up the ground and avoid subsidence.

I noticed a few small holes just off the pavement. I only noticed because the water overflow from the flower pot was seeping into the hole making it bigger. The holes are only round the outside of the pavement at the front of the house and nowhere else on the driveway.

I threw a few small stones down 1 of the holes and it seems to be deep enough. I covered the holes up with a few large rocks for the time being.

Is this a problem or would this be normal? I'd be afraid of the driveway giving way eventually if I don't get something sorted now? Also if the hole is deep would water not build up here and eventually loosen the ground resulting in the house sinking? Maybe there is drainage down there but I am unsure. I have requested the plans of the house from the Architect and will be contacting the builder asap.

All advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks In Advance.
