Help picking a bike

I'm looking to get a new bike. I've almost decided on the Giant Defy 0.Another one I've thought about is the Cube Peloton SL . Theyre both fairly similar with The Cube coming slightly ahead on spec and slightly cheaper.
But depending on who I speak with, I'm getting mixed opinions on which is better.
One person said to stay away from the Cube -bad report (no further info)
Others say the Cube is better value plus they prefer the Cube.
I know Ill probably get mixed answers here too but I suppose Im looking to see how the replies go.
The defy seems to get very good reviews whereas there dont seem to be any real reviews of the Cube.

    Both 2015 models,
    Cube Peloton SL €1149
    Giant Defy 0 €1249

    Im getting different quotes
I can get the Defy for 1149 and two services plus fitting
I can get the Cube for €1149 plus €100 of accessories plus lifetime servicing (Even though its about an hours cycle away)

    Any thoughts/help appreciated.

This one seems like a good enough deal. A bike fit is worth its weight in gold and can cost quite a bit to get done. You buying from your LBS?

Thanks for the replies. I had made my mind up on the Giant until someone pushed the Cube on me again.
    Yes BTW scheme.

Go with the Cube. With the exception of the Ultegra shifters on the Defy, the Cube has the better components.

The rear triangle on the Defy frame is also ugly, IMHO. Having said that, its an excellent bike. I've a 2014 Defy and its been faultless over many 1000's of km (with the exception being the tyres which are sh!te )

    I went for the Giant.
Then I came home and saw the last two replies telling me to go for the Cube!! :(

I'm still happy with the Giant and looking forward to getting it !

The defy is a great bike and the price is fair just make sure you happy with the reach (have the shop change the stem if needs be) and make sure your happy with the saddle during the fitting, if you can take your cycling shorts and clipless (still sounds stupid, click in maybe ??) shoes with you !! and don't be afraid to head off for 30 minutes and then bring the bike back to be re adjusted.

Don't forget once set, measure the seat post height and write it down

Depends on their definition of bike fit.
