This is a thread for seeing the funny side of long-term illnesses.

I'll start with the awkward moment this morning when I slounged down to the med room when it opened at 8:30am, and commented to another patient, "Oh I'm so glad I'm not the only slob in my PJs. Her response ... "I'm wearing trousers."

It was not my fault. They were bright pink with red anchors all over them. I mean, wtf?! She was actually, properly, highly insulted.

    Your turn?

My increased dosage of meds are amazing when I remember to take them (what can I say, I'm a scatter brain). Well today they obviously hit my system with a bang cos my husband gave a bit of a burp after having a drink - nothing special, just a standard belch, and I cracked up laughin. I made him laugh which made me laugh harder. Not the full shillin at all :D

I was telling my husband about the hug I got from my surgeon last week and when he said that was a bit informal I reminded him that the guy had just been looking at and poking around in my butt. That's about as intimate as you can get.:D I've had surgeons and consultants looking at my nether regions for decades and I don't think I'll ever feel comfortable about it. Shame I don't get paid for it. :)
