Giant Rapid 3 v Boardman Hybrid Comp

    Essentially I am getting a new bike on the BTW scheme and have narrowed down the choices to the Giant Rapid 3 v the Boardman Hybrid Comp. I like the look of the Giant but its €150 dearer than the Boardman and there doesn't seem to be a whole lot in the difference spec wise. I was looking to spend about €800 and get a bit of gear (helmet, lock etc). Has anyone had any experience of either of these bikes?

    The new Giant Rapid 2016 range is out now. I'm not sure the Rapid 3 has disc brakes (open to correction) but I'm torn between the slightly more expensive Rapid 2 (with hydraulic disc brakes), the Boardman and the Cube Hyde Pro (which has an internal gear hub).
    The Boardman being reduced to just 499 in Halfords is really tempting me although I think there are better parts on the Giant!
