A question about clear braces...

    A question for dentists.............its not an issue as such, more out of curiosity if you dont mind!

    So I had clear braces fitted at the weekend. They are going to be with me for six months. Now the inside of my cheeks are being irritated by the braces so I have been using the wax to ease the discomfort.

    Now I was just curious to know if there was anything in the design of the brackets that makes it impossible to design a more smoother bracket, no sharp corners or edges or is the current design only workable in its current guise?

    Is there a site where I can look at the design of the brackets with an explanation of how it works?

    How do I find them?I look at my teeth and there they are!!

    in all seriousness there was some slight discomfort for a few days after I got them(last weekend) but now they are fine. I have to wear dental wax on them so they dont irritate my gums but apart from that all is good.MOst of my colleagues didn't notice them until I told them which is good.

    Also I find that I am smiling more since I got them. I mean full smiles which I was uncomfortable doing previously.
