    Hi Guys
I need to create some side by side videos, was going to use iMovie but am open to other suggestions if they can do this better.
Need to create a vid with left and right portions taken from two sources, similar to this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wh7rdgF93wc
Can get iMovie to show them side by side but cannot specify which portions to display

As always, any help would be greatly appericiated

I've never used iMovie but you're basically looking to layer two videos on top of each other, which iMovie can do from what I've read. So reduce one video to the size you want, add the next video to the layer above and reduce it's size so it fits beside the other video.

To change what is shown in each video move the video back or forward on the timeline. A timeline view may not be standard in iMovie.

I can easily create two vids side by side using avisynth scripts but I just want one frame with the left side from one source and the right from another, so far I have seen no program that lets you specify what portion of the frame is displayed in the output
