creep grazing

    Ive read all previous threads about it but useful information is hard to come by.what is a cheap and effective way of creep grazing calves ahead of cows.also different topic , have a few older calves who were sucking other cows with younger capfs at foot so i separated them ,i only have one creep feeder but i want to creep both. easy way to do this?
    all advice appreciated

    We train one group to the creep feeder for a few weeks. We then get two screw in insulators and put them good and high at the gap and run a bit of white wire between them. We put troughs on the passage so the calves eat the meal and cows can't. Works well but does take a bit of time to get them used to it but it does allow us to use the feeder with another group of calves.
