    Hey All,

I'm getting some stud railing down along the house. It's going to be 3 rail and covering approx 90 meters. The chap doing it offered us the choice of PVC chain link for between the post and rail or chain link. Anyone got any opinions? I've never seen chain link on a stud rail (or anywhere for that matter), but yer man was saying it would be a nicer finish....

    Cheers,
    Niall

might be useful to keep rabbits and such out or kids in your garden but I've never seen it done on a stud railing like you say

I am getting the same job done, putting sheep wire on the back of it.

I haven't seen wire in any post and rail fence before, so a bit worried that it'll take from the look a bit too...

Interesting, I was convinced it was PVC chain link that was on the motorway fencing too. I may have a look tomorrow when I'm driving by. Thanks for the info

The PVC coated chainlink would be common enough and looks pretty well if done right (inbetwen the post and rail, not tacked on), I've seen the sheep wire done too and looks well, doesn't cover the full height, but still looks well. Thats what I was trying to sell to the wife, but she grew up on a farm so "has seen enough of it for this lifetime" :)
