    Can someone please explain the situation for capital gains tax for a non residents .

    A friend of mine ' Bob ' is planning to buy a house here in ireland for about 400K now (2015) and dispose it off in 2020 .

    What will be CGT implications .Bob is resident abroad . Although Irish National by passport

    Irish situated assets are fully within thcharge to Irish CGT irrespective of the residence of the owner (with certain non pertinent exceptions).
