So if one is based in Drogheda where they should drive/take test? Will it be Navan? It's quite far, I don't know why I was sure there was an option to take test in Drogheda :(

Navan or Dundalk are your options.

You don't need to do each of your lessons near the test centre, you should do the first 9 or so closer to home and then just do the last few near the test centre and pretests etc.

You'll be in Navan from Drogheda in half an hour. Do a 2 hr lesson to make the trip worthwhile and cut down the overall number of visits.
