Insulating flexible pipes?

I had a plumber in recently and he mentioned that none of my pipes in the attic, going to and from the hot press, are insulated. He advised me to get some insulation piping to cover the 1/2" and 3/4" pipes.

When I started work this morning I noticed that there is a fair bit of flexible, plastic water piping, as well as the standard copper pipes.

Does this flexible piping also need to be insulated? i.e. is there a danger these pipes could freeze/burst?

Yes all pipework carrying water needs to be insulated

Don't forget to make sure all the joints and fittings are insulated too. You may need to wrap a bit of duct tape around the insulation to secure it in place.
