Ok I'm 17 in December . I want to get a car when I'm 17 . I have a provisional for a tractor so when I'm 17 all I have to do is pay for the car license . Can you get your full driving license at 17 and can you do lessons before your 17 ( ones in a private area )

You'll have to get a provisional for a car, for which you have to be at least 17, I'm not 100% sure but I think the provisional you have at the moment only covers you for work vehicles.

Can you get a full license at 17 once one has 12 hours of lessons done

In theory yeah, but you'll have to wait 6 months after you get your provisional before you can even apply for the test, so realistically you're looking at around 7-8 months after you turn 17.

Why do you have to wait that long ?

So you'll have experience driving and be prepared for the test, do you even know what the test is?

Exactly this, before they brought the 6 month rule and the 12 mandatory lessons in the fail rate was huge, people were just applying for the test straight away and chancing their arm.

The test is hard enough, and you need a decent bit of experience and practicing before you should attempt it.
