Eircom 3 strikes

Thinking of switching to eircom as UPC only offer 30mb in my area. Always avoided eircom due to higher prices etc but with 100mb available in my area it looks like the best option.

Basically wondering what's the story with the 3 strikes policy. Apparently they have never actually done anything about it or can't do anything about it, so is there any point in having it at all?

    Thanks

UPC are being forced to implement the same policy so it may not make a difference in the medium term.

From what I know of it, a company is employed to upload torrents and then monitor downloads of them for IP addresses belonging to Eircom subscribers. This information is passed back to Eircom, who then issue the letters.

UPC is only doing it for music though AFAIK, whereas I think eircom is doing it for everything.

    What's Vodafone's policy here?
