Viewing this through binoculars for the last five minutes, what is it?If you find the moon high in the east and follow a line from it at eleven o' clock you'll see it.Any ideas?

Definitely Venus. We were out in Dunsink today, doing some Solar Observing, for Solarfest 2015, and we were also taking a look at Venus in broad daylight too. First time in 30 years observing I've ever done that!

Its a little up to 1 o clock from the Moon now.
