This may have been posted already and maybe everyone knows but I've just learned (to my cost) not to ring 11850 again! Calls were less than one minute and cost E7 each.
11888 is much cheaper as per UPC customer service.

Did you get them to transfer you to the number?

Nope, just got a number off them, put down the phone and rang the number myself. E7 for 47 seconds.

This is why I love my VoIP provider, every call I make it reads out the amount before dialling :)

Can't fathom people using these things at all. Just Google the number for free if needed!

If I may ask, which service are you using?

This had me curious, so I checked the rates, which are crazy.
Calls to 11850 cost €2.79 per call plus €2.79 per minute (minimum 60 second charge) from an Eircom landline.

If you are calling from another landline or mobile network, you may find that the charges will be different, and may cost more.

I mean CRAAAYYYZZEEE. And sneaky. They split the cost so you dont realise its €5.58 the minute they lift the phone.

im astounded anyone uses these rip off merchants when the vast majority have smartphones with internet access and can just Google the number you are looking for.

Yes; it's great to have a poor alternative to show why you should Google instead.
