Diesel, 5 door, 25k

    So Me and my partner are planning on selling our two cars and buying one good car. Not going to happen for another little while but though I may as well start looking at what's out there now.

    Would have to be a diesel and 5 door, partner does a good bit of commuting and the car will be well used on the weekends. Budget is around 25-28k, could be stretched for a really good car (I'd love a Merc CLA but can't see that happening).

    Had originally been looking at a Seat Leon FR, partner is a fan of the new 5 door mini cooper D. Anything else we should be looking at? Car doesn't have to be new either, would probably prefer to buy a 2/3 year old car. Would like something decent to drive, but mpg is one of the big things we are looking at, would need to be economical. Thanks for any suggestions.
