just get the club re-shafted it say, any pro shop should do it for ya..maybe bring it back to were u bought them, might do ya a discount.

Would the warranty not cover it

If it snapped as you hit a normal shot, you would have a case for faulty goods. Much like if you buy a new car and it broke down when leaving the forecourt.

But the garage wouldnt replace your car for free if you crashed it. You crashed your club.

Its only about €35 to replace the shaft in a pro shop, I broke mine last year and that's all it was.

I suggest you go back to where you got the clubs and be straight with them. They should either be able to reshaft it or send it back to the manufacturer for reshafting. If they are expensive clubs I would go the latter route if available to ensure you have the exact spec that will match the other clubs in your set.

You could just go in and rob a 5i from them, would save you the wait on getting it repaired.

all depends on the shaft. The shaft for my driver was €200

If I was OP, I would be concerned that the shaft broke after a bag fell on them. Doesn't sound to good for the quality of the new clubs! I'd be going back to shop and questioning......

It was €35 for a 5 iron shaft!! I'd be off to adverts for a driver shaft!!

Warranty only covers breakages through the normal course of play. Lads in shops and Pro shops see this most weeks and can recognise a normal use break or say for example an across the knee/cart/tree or opponents head break, you go in telling fibs you just gonna embarrass yourself and make life awkward for all concerned. Fess up and you never know ya might get looked after better.
