Wasps nest in Bird House

We have just discovered that we have wasps in a bird nesting box in our garden. They have set up house right beside an apple tree :( How is the best way to get rid of them or would it be advisable to contact Rentokil?? I'm worried that they would attack my daughter or dogs if they are in the garden.

It depends on how brave you are. The box may contain many wasps. I have got rid of similar by spraying at night but it's up to you. You would need to knock the visible paper hive off first of course.
