Things to do here in Ireland?

Hey folks, (and mods if there is a dedicated forum for terrestrial holidays redirect away) so my friends and I are all around 20 years old and mostly heading into our third year of college, which in our respective courses means work placement and general heads down busyness.

We never did the whole 'leaving cert' holiday collecting venereal diseases in Santa Ponza or Ios or suchlike, mainly due to money issues. Well two years later nothing's changed on the financial front, but we've decided we'd really like to go away as a group before life gets really busy next year.

Seeing as we really don't have the funds to go abroad, an Irish holiday seems like a no brainer. Unfortunately, googling 'getaway in Ireland' doesn't yield many results for a group of 20/21 year olds. Does anyone have an suggestions for us? I was thinking of something along the lines of surfing (more for my friends' sake than my own, I hate the ocean :pac: ) or some other activity sort of holiday. I know that's not terribly specific but I hope you catch my drift.

Any and all suggestions much appreciated, cheers!

Carlingford activity centre can be a very good day out for a group of lads. Not sure how expensive it is but if ye get good weather it can be very good. bout an hour north of dublin. Cool place to go out too after as its known for stags and hens.

Head to Clare. A crowd of us were in the same situation a few years ago so we stayed in Lahinch and went surfing, trip to the Cliffs of Moher, wandered around the Burren and then the Ailwee Caves. Plenty of nice pubs in Lahinch for a few drinks and a bit of grub. We were blessed with nice weather for the 3 days and it was great fun.
