    hello all
I am a widower with 2 children aged 16 and 18. One has finished her leaving yesterday and other will do it in 2017. I work full time and my tax very arrived a couple weeks ago and my wages have taken a bit of a hit that I can ill afford.
    Personal tax credit is 3,300
    Paye tax credit is. 1,650
Home carers tax credit is 810. Not sure why I am getting a carers tax credit as its only me and the lads. So I end up with 60.16 in weekly tax credits. Was 107 last year. Do these figures sound correct ? Is their anything else I can claim for ? I get widowers pension of 230 per week. I am 45 and widowed since 2010. Any help greatly appreciated thanks

It looks like your situation hasn't been updated with Revenue. Those credits on the face of it belong to a married person who is jointly assessed where one spouse is working.

There are specific credits/reliefs available for widowers with dependant children.

    http://www.revenue.ie/en/personal/circumstances/bereavement/widows-widowers.html

I would contact Revenue straight away on your regional 1890 number.

Something wrong there if you're only getting €60 tax credits per week.
    3300+1650+810 = 5760/52 = €110.7
