Hi there we are looking at buying our first (and hopefully last) house as a home for our family. We are looking at a one off renovated cottage not far outside a large county town.
We know nothing about buying a home and are not really sure what to look for or ask about. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. We know the area and are happy with that end of things. But what should we be looking at or asking about as regards to the structure/damp etc. The house is connected to a septic tank...... what would we be looking at here???
Any points/tips would be greatly appreciated.
    Many thanks

You should look or ask about nothing really as it's largely pointless.

Hire a suitable engineer to survey and identify any problems.
