Hey guys just in the middle of doing a business plan for a future idea. Simply put its importing goods from Spain to Ireland. Now in the the process of doing the marketing section (or the market research etc) i can cost the units, and price them to sell to retail. What i cant seem to find is any rough costs of shipping and importation costs.

For this particular product I only see Ireland as a small testing ground before moving into the UK but thats YEARS down the road. Starting small i would only assume 5-10 pallets of goods, on a once off and if I can shift them then setting up a regular supply.

After much googling (perhaps using the wrong terminology) i am yet to find any help. For what its worth I would want shipping from the Costa Blanca to perhaps Dublin Port or Rosslare. Again its early stages not going to bank on anything at all, i just want rough numbers so i can make informed decisions.

    Thanks in advance

    James

If you Google groupage you will find loads of transport companies that do pallets from Europe. Groupage is the term used to define part load transport anywhere from one to sixteen pallets. Nolan transport is one I can think of but there are loads of companies doing it.
Just make a few calls as a company that all ready collects goods in that area will be much cheaper than one that has to travel a distance out of there way to pick up . There can be a big difference in price between some companies.

Sorry ment to say they will give you a price for collection from anywhere in Spain directly to you premises in Ireland
