Megane III pollen filter location

Evening all, looking for a bit of advice here.

Sister in law has a 09 Megane, and is saying the a/c is starting to smell a wee bit. I said I'd replace her pollen filter for her if she got a replacement, and then use a disinfectant cleaner on the a/c itself.

Advice I need is, anybody know where the filter is located on these? Getting mixed results on the Google. Some saying it's in the glove box, others down by the clutch. And I'm taking into consideration some people would be talking about LHD and RHD.

I heard some horror stories about the pollen filter location in the fluence and how some of the dash has to come out.

Apparently there are instructions with it, so I suppose I may wait til I get home.

On lad on a UK based tenant forum was saying the easiest way to get at it was to remove the clutch pedal...

In the tunnel beside the clutch.

Found this very detailed description. The poster dropped the clutch pedal for ease of access but you might get away without it. The filter in the Megane II is in the same place and the pedal doesn't interfere.

Thanks for that. I think I'd found that thread, but couldn't see the pics.

The pics in that thread don't do justice as to where it's located. It's buried up above the clutch pedal, a complete pain in the hole to get to.
