    Hi

I have a longines automatic master collection watch

The alligator strap has broken and I need to get a replacement strap fitted

i see on their website that the swatch group have a service centre on Lord Edward Street D2 - has anyone used them ?

Would anyone know what kind of price the strap fitted would be - went into one jewellers and they said it would take a few days just to get a quote !

    Thanks

If you "need" a longines branded strap, then best see what they say,and then do a bit of googling to see if you can beat the price.
If you can live without Longines being stamped on the back then you can get some truly excellent straps that will probably be much cheaper than the branded one.

Even if you go with a brand like Hirsch it will probably still be cheaper, but there are plenty of watch companies out there doing cracking straps for (relatively) little money.

I have gone with http://www.watchworx.co.uk/ a few times and the straps are top notch.

Plus you can mix and match. IE keep the Longines buckle and get a third party strap for a lot less(and often the same or even higher quality) and put the Longines buckle on it, et voila.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

    +1 always keep the buckle
