Hi folks,

Myself and another musician are working on a bunch of songs and I'd like recommendations for an instrument that will allow us to flesh out our sound live. At the minute we both play guitar (occasionally keyboards) and my friend sings. I'd like an instrument that will play not only basic drum tracks but also bass or synth lines - so a simple drum machine wouldn't do the trick. If possible I'd rather not use a laptop.
