Just came across this myself on the website!

What really baffles me is that he says its a 1.4 petrol, although there is a TDI badge on the boot - and motorcheck is showing it as a 1.9 TDI?

This is from the same guy who says:
The car's a beaut and drives like a Porsche. She gets plenty of attention from the L-A-D-I-E-S as well.

One woman owner before myself who only ever drove her to the shop and back.

No, it doesn't drive like a Porsche, it doesn't get any attention from anyone but yourself and we've all heard that before.

You'd swear every car in this country was only ever driven to the shops/mass around the corner by the previous owner. And even if this is true, I'd be more interested in knowing if they actually looked after it or just left it sitting there, never getting it serviced for a number of years.

Somewhere between "Desperate attention seeking" and "D'ya know what would be GAS altogether lads..." I'd say.

The latter I reckon, local radio picked up on it, all over facebook etc. Doesn't sat much for the general populas unfortunately.

All in the name of craic.

Sad reflection on the general populace as you say but more especially on the media in this country. Seems to be a race to the bottom in terms of news/journalism unfortunately. Rapidly becoming indistinguishable from lowest common denominator entertainment / short term diversion.

It reads like a Waterford Whisper. :pac:

Waterford whisper would beat some legitimate news outlets for quality, accuracy and integrity! :pac:

I had to laugh at the reason he was broke in Vegas because of "overspending" and "the strong dollar". More like he lost his shirt at the black jack tables or some nice lady who charges by the hour, lifted his wallet and cleared out his bank account :D

These comical ads appear in donedeal regularly and are usually quite creative.

He's no more in Las Vegas than I am. Closest he'll get is visiting the proposed site of Las Lowry in Tipp.

    Scam I'd say
