Race day advice

Ok, so I've signed up to do the Rock & roll half marathon on 2nd August. The longest race I've done before is 10k so I'm following my training plan and it's all going well so far.

But, I'm unsure about what I should be eating on the race morning/ night before. (I know it's weeks away yet, but I'm a planner!)
The race starts at 8:30 am so should it be a light brekkie shortly beforehand or a slightly heavier brekkie a good while beforehand?

Any advice will be gratefully received!

You shouldn't need to carb load for a half marathon. Just make sure you have a balanced dinner the night before, with maybe some extra carbs and breakfast like porridge in the morning of the race. Rather than having heavier breakfast, have a snack like a banana or bagel and hour or 2 before the race start.

DO NOT TRY ANYTHING NEW ON RACE DAY!!! Practice before hand on your long training runs with fueling.

Hydration is so important though,, so make sure you are getting plenty of water (+ sodium) in the few days before the race!!

What do you currently do on the morning of your long run? Assuming what you do now works, do that. No need to change.
