Aquafaba/Chickpea Liquid

    So, apparently this is a thing.

    Whisking the liquid from a can of chickpeas into egg-white like consistency and then making meringue :eek:

    Anyone try it? Nobody seems to know how it works, but it does.

    I'll give it a go at the weekend, although I'm highly dubious!

    Only one way to find out :) I wonder does is work with dried chickpea cooking water - rarely use canned beans unless it's an emergency.

    I've seen chickpea water in recipes too, it was for mousse I think.
