Accor are the parent company for a range of budget hotel chains like Novotel/Ibis/Mercure, etc. (and my old reliable cheapo in France, Formule 1).

They seem to be offering a decent discount if you book before 26 June; might be of use to somebody planning a DIY holiday?
Valid for stays between 10 July and 29 August.

I'm in Paris in that period, tried to book there and the prices are exactly the same with a "30% discount" as when I booked a month ago with no discount for an Ibis.

Prices would have risen in the intervening period.

I have never had a good experience with an Accor hotel, but have had enough to never stay in them again. From mouldy bathrooms to being harassed by whores on the driveway... (both those in their "midscale" and "premium" brands)

No they stayed the same all along as i've been keeping an eye on them.

Sorry about that, I took the promotional email at face value - didn't actually try booking.
The old "up to X%" strikes again, I guess... the T&C did look more positive, though. :(
Did it offer you free breakfast, at least?

    Nope it was extra :D

You could always drop them a line and call them out on it; pretty misleading stuff, really...

Maybe if you alert them to it they'll refund the breakfast charges on your booking? ;)
