    hi,
Apologies if this thread has already been created.
Im an IT guy for 6 or 7 years now but ive never really had a flair for it and cant stand sitting in the same office staring at a screen. I really like DIY, building and fixing things, and making surfboards and tables and things. I love to work with my hands and being outside. I am thinking of changing career to carpentry, but is it back breaking manual labour and is winter very hard to get through (working in 5 degrees some days), and is there much work out there?

    Just thought id ask.

    thanks
