Is it cheaper to buy a new tri bike up north?

Does the bike to work scheme work up there?
    thanks,

    thanks,

No is the short answer. I've been corrected and looking for information for you.
The Scheme is open to all salaried full- and part-time employees.
To take advantage of the tax breaks that result from salary sacrifice please also note: You need to be an Irish taxpayer.

As to the first question, by the time you change from euro to stg and travel up and back you would probably be better off in your local store if it is your first bike.

If you know what you are doing and looking for you could possibly do better onine, but first time bike for sure go local IMO.

For your first bike, a good relationship with a local shop is worth more than a saving in price sometimes. Also, if you are shopping up north, give your local shop at least an opportunity to price match. These are the guys you will rely on when you need mechanical help and small bits and pieces.

Unless youre a bike mechanic, in which case forget what I just said. ;)

The exchange rate is crap anyway, wouldn't bother unless you were getting an absolute bargain.
