    Hi all,

Just looking for some advice on how to proceed with a guy I've been dating. We work together and have been seeing each other for a over 2 months. He works unsocial hours that sort of conflict with mine so I see him about once a week, we've been on a few dates and he also comes over and stays at my house. He's very nice, kind, affectionate, funny and it all seems to be going well.

Before we got together I was looking through a popular dating site with a friend who uses it and we noticed he was on it, which is how I knew he was single in the first place. Since early on in our dating he hasnt been on it, but my friend told me last week that it suddenly changed to "online today" and it shook me a bit.
Is it weird that I was upset that he was back on the site? Does it mean he is less interested than I am? We haven't had any discussions about exclusivity etc but from things he has said I am fairly sure he isnt dating anyone else.

Also I havent told him I know hes on the site, and havent been using it to check up on him but I got curious and now sort of wish my friend hadnt told me :( Any advice on how to go from here, and do people think Im overreacting?

    Thanks!

There could be lots of reasons why he logged back into the site. If you don't like the idea of him seeing other people than it's best to sit down and discuss your situation tobgether.

Hmmmm well you're clearly approaching the will we/won't we commit chat and while some relationships slide organically into exclusivity without the need for 'the chat', this now confirms that 'the chat' most definitely needs to happen.

I wouldn't necessarily say you know he's on a dating site as it poses all kinds of questions in itself but I would probably bring up a conversation whereby you can ask him 'Am I your girlfriend now then or are you dating other people?'

Do you go around to his place or is he always going to yours?

Thank you for the replies so far, it does look like a talk has to happen but I was hoping that would just happen without me having to bring it up..

He comes to my house because of family issues in his (sick relative)

He was probably on it out of boredom. Maybe he went online to close down his account, maybe he got an email alert saying he had received a message on it and he checked it out of harmless curiosity and then deleted it and logged out, you never know. I really would not bring this up.

Is your friend checking on him every day to see if he's online so she can report back?! I think that's odd. If I was your friend and knew you weren't exclusive I'd say nothing!
