The Queen stage of the 2015 edition of the Tour de Suisse is on at the moment. The stage finishes with an ascent of the Rettenbachferner (12.1lm at 10.7%), which lies at an altitude of over 2,600 metres above sea level. The Rettenbachferner is an absolute beast of a climb. Today is the only 'real' mountain stage of the race, so the pure climbers will have to go all out attack as the final stage (stage 9) is a 38km long ITT.

No live Irish/UK TV coverage. Eurosport1 have highlights at 7.10pm tonight. It's worth watching live though on a foreign stream if you have access.

interesting watching it without the commentary, you realise what a noisy environment it is to compete in.. helicopters, support vehicles, camera bikes...

    Some serious performance by Pinot.

Haha! I think he's after improving his descents and he's not as fearful anymore. Stage 3 (I think) had some crazy descents and he did pretty well. Tour de Suisse is actually a real test of a rider's descending skills. Some of the roads lanes are very narrow.
